Suprisingly enough it doesn't cause continuity issue, since the characters reference going to that state before they do. Which reminds me the level select menu is actually America and each set of levels is in a different state.
Everything's rather flat and forgettable, with no reason to replay the levels unless you're going for 100% completion. Not the setting for the location itself, but rather the design. The visuals are great, but the locations are incredibly bland. Everything feels as if it's there for the sake of being there and there's not much explanation for things. It starts with vilgax stealing omnitrix power and escalates into you fighting every single villain in the series, it ends before you even think it starts. The writing is decent, it's on the same level as the worst episodes of the show, so bearable at best. Although the game uses footage from the show sometimes, such as the transformations, which is kinda lazy if you ask me. In a sense that the characters are expressive and the the overall quality is great. These cutscenes are animated in the same quality as the show. The game is fully animated, in a sense that after almost every level there's a cutscene. The cel-shaded graphics give it a charm and timeless look, such as the likes of Jet Set Radio.
